Nanol had a unique opportunity to present its additive lubricant technology, when the company was selected to participate in the Startup Fest Europe, a week-long European festival of events bringing together start-ups and investors. Although more than 1,200 companies applied for the tour, only 50 promising start-ups were selected by a committee consisting of 10 experienced venture capitalists.
“The whole thing was a real stroke of luck for us, since we hadn’t even applied for the event ourselves. Someone had recommended us and we were therefore very surprised when we received the message”, says CEO Johan von Knorring.
During the event, von Knorring had the opportunity to pitch Nanol to 125 venture capitalists, and to eventually meet face-to-face with a handful of investors. The event resulted in a lot of valuable contacts as well as great visibility for the company.
